What a whirlwind 2019 has been! As I write this, players across the country are taking exams and wrapping up their last few practices and games before winter break. Many athletes are also digesting feedback they’ve received from college coaches during a hectic month of showcases and ID camps.
Thankfully, winter break is about to begin, offering everyone an opportunity to decompress and reset for the new year. To help soccer families make the most of the coming hiatus, I’ve compiled a few gift and activity suggestions I think you’ll enjoy.
For starters, these holiday gift ideas are sure to put a smile on the face of even the most discerning soccer player.
You can also check out this terrific list of book recommendations especially for student-athletes and their parents, as well as some enjoyable activities that will support players’ physical and mental recovery during the break.
Players in the Charlotte area are welcome to attend my training clinics on January 3rd and 4th. I’ll be teaching committed and aspiring college players how to make the most of every opportunity to compete for a college roster spot. It will be a lot of fun!
Whatever your winter break plans include, I hope you and your family enjoy a happy, safe and prosperous holiday season. I’m truly grateful for the support and encouragement I’ve received from so many of you this past year and I’m enthusiastically looking forward to new and exciting adventures in 2020!
